I have been wanting to mix/create my own paint for yearsssss. And finally, I found the right source to start with so I’m here to share.
Earth Pigments is running a sale through March 31st for $20 off any $100 purchase with code green. This isn’t sponsored (maybe one day?) — I just received the email and am spreading the good word. You may need to create an account, you may need to be a pre-existing customer… I don’t know everything BUT as I’m frantically typing out this message, what I do know is you need to explore this site regardless if you’re a wannabe art scientist like me.
Who else gets bored painting with the same old, same old?
Maybe it’s my mixed media selfishness… nothing is off limits :)
Ok, next and final deal on the table: My all time, hands down, favorite notebooks that I’ve been using for 5 years. I’ll never stop. These Decomposition notebooks are what I use for my morning journaling, gratitude writing, brainstorming for the business, and most recently, my to-do lists. Y’all know how I feel about a good list.
I buy about 10 of these at the end of each year with their Black Friday sale but I say why wait? For your first order, they grant 10% off. If you’ve purchased these before, I have another code!! Now through April 8th, use code site2behold for 10% off your order. This also isn’t sponsored but it should be. Michael Roger, are you listening??
I’m so tempted to stock up on more notebooks but considering this photo I took yesterday (holding all BLANK JOURNALS), I think I might be good for a while lol. Oh, and I like a mix of the sewn spine and spiral, just depending on how I’m feeling. I love options.
xx AJ
PS: If anyone finds a favorite medium to mix their pigments with, drop it below for the group! I’m a Golden lover through and through but there’s a million finishes to choose from… I’m starting with their matte pouring medium. I had it on hand at the studio and we’ll see what happens. Happy experimenting!
